USS Forrestal Museum Who we are & Mission Statement

OUR MISSION

The USS Forrestal Museum, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded to provide a world class historical, technological, educational, inspirational and entertaining facility devoted to America's rich naval heritage. Particular emphasis will be on Maryland's leading role in that heritage in order to:

Preserve the drama, excitement, and technology of America's rich naval history.

Chronicle the achievements and sacrifices of those of all nationalities who defended the nation and protected its interest through their naval service.

Provide a premier, family oriented attraction to residents and visitors to the Baltimore area.

Enhance Baltimore's maritime image and reinforce its efforts as a national and international visitor destination.

To have the USS Forrestal serve as a "education platform" for youth and veterans programs with a focus to the maritime sciences.
