Each of the several berthing  sites now being negotiated with other interested parties will position Forrestal in such a way that everyone who travels the East Coast will see the ship right off Interstate I95.  The flight deck will sit approximately 15 feet higher than the I95 roadway giving everyone a full view of the Forrestal and the planes on her deck.

During Daylight hours the ceremonial dress ship flags will add to her presence.  During evening hours the superstructure, planes, and huge #59 will be brightly lit.

With both entry and exit ramps already in place anyone traveling from Maine to Florida will be able to easily exit I95 and visit the Forrestal Complex.  Overnight visitors could take in some of the other local attractions such as Baltimore Inner Harbor, only (1/2 mi.), or Fort McHenry, home of the Star Spangled Banner (1/4 mi.).

With the newly expanded Baltimore Convention Center, world renown Baltimore Park at Camden Yards, and NFL football stadium, PSN Net, just minutes away, the Forrestal Complex will draw thousands of additional visitors.

The short drive from Washington DC (1 hr), and Annapolis, home of the US Naval Academy (45 min) will also provide a constant stream of visitors.
